OPEN CITY
An excerpt of my new book appears in the summer issue of Open City. The book is a memoir of my first few years in NYC. More info and to purchase the issue here.
COMING IN 2010
WOWEE ZOWEE, my entry in Continuum's 33 1/3 series of books. Wowee Zowee is my all-time favorite record by my all-time favorite band Pavement. The book will feature extensive interviews with all five members of the band about the WZ period, before and after etc. Also interviews with assorted label honchos, various engineers--including the first-ever interview with Mark Venezia who recorded Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain and some Wowee Zowee songs--and cover artist Steve Keene.

ABOUT THAT PICTURE UP ABOVE
It was taken late in the year 2003 or early in the year 2004 by either TJ or Christie or Greg, it was taken in the apartment downstairs, I don't know the people who live there anymore, my hair looks sort of spikey in the picture but doesnt look that way in real life, I think I'd just washed my face and run my fingers through my hair, the book I'm holding belonged to Christie, she gave it to me when she moved out and I looked at the pictures then put it on a shelf and then about a year ago gave it to the Salvation Army, I'm not wearing glasses in the picture but usually I do, I was 29 when it was taken, I may or may not have been employed.
